Airbrush tattoo is a type of temporary tattoo which allows you to create a wonderful body art minus the excruciating needle pain.
This type of tattooing is applied by using an airbrush. Non- toxic paint is first filled in the airbrush jar which will then be sprayed through a stencil, creating an elaborate design on the skin.
There are four different kinds of airbrushes. This includes the suction feed airbrush which is used to suck the paint from the container at the lower part of the airbrush, the gravity feed airbrush which is used by drawing the paint from a container found on the airbrush, the single action airbrush which only allows you to only push the trigger down to draw air and paint, and the double action airbrush which provides much greater control than its single action counterpart.
Usually, the different type of airbrushes are matched together to come up with airbrushes like suction feed single action airbrush, suction fed double action airbrush, gravity fed single action airbrush, and a gravity fed double action airbrush.
Most professionals would recommend using a suction feed double action paint brush for beginners as it is easier to use.
Stencils play an important role in having a great airbrush tattoo. There are two different types of stencils: the adhesive-backed stencil and the non-adhesive stencil.
An adhesive backed stencil is placed on a person's body. The adhesive will stick to the person's arm making it easier to apply different types of colors or dye. This stencil is ideal for beginners as it is very easy as it gives excellent airbrush results. However, adhesive stencils are disposable which makes them quite expensive.
Non-adhesive stencils are also very common. Most professional airbrush artists use this stencil. They are reusable yet they limit the artists from using different colors. Try one now!
